GB Esportes: In non-Olympic soccer competitions, England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland compete separately as Home Nations. But when it comes to the Olympics, they compete as Team GB.

Munday said she was proud that Team GB was “a really good reflection of British society”. However, she admitted that there was more work to do.

Qualifications

GB Esportes are the most talented athletes in the country and compete in international competitions around the world. In order to qualify, a candidate must meet certain criteria and have the support of a coach or mentor. The GB selection process will vary by sport, event and team. Once qualified, a GB Esportes will compete in events like the European Championships and Olympic Games.

2023 will be a year of Olympic opportunity for Team GB athletes. The slalom canoe worlds are on home soil in Glasgow, the archery worlds return to Lee Valley and artistic swimming, modern pentathlon and breaking all have a shot at Paris tickets. In addition, a brilliant season by Britain’s cyclists has guaranteed quota places and the mixed relay title, while a brilliant campaign from gymnasts and equestrians secured more spots.

Skateboard GB and Breaking GB are looking for a shared full-time project management and administrative support. The role will be employed by Skateboard GB, but work across both organisations. The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate excellent communication, administrative and organisational skills. The role will require flexibility, including weekend working on occasion. The deadline for expressions of interest is 5pm on Tuesday 20th June 2022.

Competitions

GB Esportes is an online sports channel for people with intellectual disabilities. It offers 27 different summer and winter sports, providing meaningful training and competition opportunities for athletes of all ages and abilities. The channel also works with national governing bodies to support the development of sport. It provides sports resources, such as Coaching Guides and Sport Rules. GB Esportes is the leading provider of year-round sports coaching and athletic competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

The channel has announced that it will be adding six new series to its lineup this September. These include The Briefing: AM, hosted by Tom Harwood and The Briefing: PMQs, which will air Monday to Friday. The channel will also launch The Briefing: Lunchtime, hosted by Gloria De Piero. This show will replace the popular Fantasy PMQs when Parliament is in recess.

As part of the programme, athletes will be invited to speak to the camera and share their journey to becoming a GB athlete. They will then be given a tour of the London stadium and have the opportunity to meet with fans. Afterwards, they will participate in the victory parade and receive their medals from an Olympic champion.

UKSA has withdrawn a GB Team entry from the Virtus Championships due to ongoing pandemic and COVID restrictions. However, it is working with NGB’s to manage GB Teams at other 2019 Inas events and where applicable the Cricket Tri Nations Series working closely with British Judo and British Taekwondo.
