Lime and Basil Tilapia Recipe

Ingredients

Tilapia fillets (4 about 1 pound), lime juice (2tbsp), salt (1tsp), pepper (to taste), bourbon (2tsp), minced fresh basil (1tbsp), zest of 2 limes, oil (4tbsp).

Method of preparation:-

Take a resealable plastic bag, mix all the ingredients except the tilapia fillets in the bag. Add tilapia fillets and turn them to mix. Seal the bag and keep it in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes. Preheat the grill. Take a saucepan, pour the marinade in it. Keep the marinade to boil and then take off the pan from the heat. Now grill the tilapia fillets for about 3 minutes per side over high heat. When the fish gets opaque then remove it from the grill. Drizzle the spoonful of the marinade over the top and then serve it.

Sauteed Tilapia with Lime Recipe

Fish, about ½ inch thick (11/3lb), minced garlic (1clove), all-purpose flour (1/3c), dry white wine (1/3c), margarine or butter (1/2tsp), lime juice (1tbsp), olive oil (1tbsp), chopped green onions (3), salt and pepper.

Method of preparation:-

Take fish, rinse it and pat dry. Take flour in a plate and season it with salt and pepper. Dredge the fillets in the flour and then pat the fillets to remove the excess flour. Take a small bowl, mix wine, lime juice, garlic and margarine in it. Take a large frying pan, place it over medium-high heat. Heat olive oil in it. Add fish fillets in the pan without overlapping them. Cook the fillets until they get golden on the bottom for about 3 minutes. Turn the side and cook until it gets opaque through the center for about 1 to 2 minutes. Now add the wine mixture to the pan and boil it. Cook it until it gets reduced to half for about 2 to 3 minutes. Add onions and heat for about 30 seconds. Now pour the sauce over the fish and serve it in a serving dish.

Poached Fish with Cucumber Recipe

Ingredients

Fresh Tilapia fillets (2), bay leaf (1), white wine (2c), chopped fresh tarragon (2tsp), prepared mustard (2tbsp), whipping cream (1c), peeled, halved lengthwise, seeded and chopped cucumber (2) and salt (1tsp).

Method of preparation:-

Take cucumber pieces, sprinkle salt over the pieces. Keep them for 1 hour and then strain the liquid from the cucumbers. Take a saucepan, place it over medium heat. Mix the whipping cream, mustard and tarring on it. Add the cucumber pieces and keep it to simmer for about 8 minutes. Take a large frying pan, place it over medium heat. Pour wine in the pan, season it with salt and add the bay leaf. Keep the wine to boil. Add the tilapia into the pan and reduce the heat to medium-low. Cook the fish for about 8 to 10 minutes until the fish flakes easily with a fork. Now serve the fish with cucumber on the side.

Tilapia Fish Biryani Recipe

Ingredients

Tilapia fish fillets, cubed marinated with Cajun spice mixture (1lb or 16oz), diced onion (1large), diced carrot (1large), diced bell pepper (1large), basmati rice (1c), water (1600ml), tomato, ginger, lemon juice, sugar, salt and pepper, green onion.

Method of preparation:-

Take basmati rice, wash them and then cook them in the microwave. Stir the rice in between and then keep them aside. While rice is being cooked, clean and dice the vegetables. Sauté the vegetables with the spices. Now sauté quickly the marinated cubes of fish fillets in the microwave. Take a pot, put the layer of rice in the bottom, top it with fish fillets. Add another rice layer and then top it with vegetables and again the rice layer. Put the chopped green onions on the top. Cover the pot and keep it to simmer for some time. When the biryani gets ready then serve it with raita.

Tilapia with Dijon and Panko Coating Recipe

Ingredients

Tilapia fillets (4 about 1-½ to 2 pounds), fine dry bread crumbs (1/2c), light mayonnaise (2tbsp), Dijon mustard (2tsp), dash pepper, salt (1/2tsp), onion powder (1/2tsp), dried parsley flakes (1tbsp) paprika (1tsp).

Method of preparation:-

First heat the oven to 400 degrees. Take a shallow baking dish, lightly grease it with nonstick cooking spray. Take a bowl, mix mayonnaise and mustard in it and then rub this mixture over the tilapia fillets. In a food processor, mix the panko and fine bread crumbs, parsley, paprika, pepper, onion powder and salt in it. Pulse all these 4 to 6 times to combine. Take a wide shallow bowl; put the bread crumb mixture in it. Dip the coated fillets from both sides in this mixture. Now place the coated fillets in the prepared baking dish. Place the dish in a preheated oven and bake it for about 15 to 18 minutes or until the fish gets cooked. When the fish gets cooked then it will flake easily with a fork. With a spatula, place the fillets on a plate and serve them.

Ingredients

Tilapia fish fillets cut into 2 inch pieces (1-1/2lb), touch of dry oregano, Tabasco, thyme, pepper and salt, dry white wine (2/3c), clam juice (8oz), tomato paste (2tsp), fresh chopped tomato (1c), chopped fresh parsley (2/3c), chopped garlic (2large cloves), chopped onion (1c), olive oil (6tbsp).

Method of preparation:-

Take a large heavy pot, place it over medium-high heat. Heat olive oil in it. Then add the chopped onion and garlic in the pot and then sauté them for about 4 minutes in the oil. To add the flavor you can add some celery and mushrooms. Add parsley and stir them for 2 minutes. Then add tomato and tomato paste and keep it to cook for more two minutes. Now add dry white wine, clam juice, and fish fillets in the pot. Reduce the heat to low and keep it to simmer until the tilapia fish gets cooked. Add seasoning and salt according to taste. Put the cooked fish in a bowl and then serve it.

Grilled Tilapia with Mango Salsa Recipe

Tilapia fillets (2), peeled, pitted and diced ripe mango (1large), chopped fresh cilantro (1tbsp), minced red onion (2tbsp), diced red bell pepper (1/2), seeded and minced jalapeno pepper (1), lime juice (2tbsp), lemon juice (1tbsp), salt and pepper (to taste), extra virgin olive oil (1/3c), minced fresh parsley (1tbsp), ground black pepper (1tsp), minced garlic (1clove), dried basil (1tsp).

Method of preparation:-

Take a bowl, mix together the extra virgin olive oil, parsley, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, basil, garlic and 1 teaspoon of pepper in it. Mix them properly and then pour it into the resealable plastic bag. Add the tilapia fillets and coat them with the marinade, squeeze out the excess air and seal the bag. Keep it in the refrigerator to marinate for about 1 hour. Take a bowl, mix mango, red onion, red bell pepper, jalapeno pepper, and cilantro in the bowl to make the mango salsa. Add the 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, lime juice and then toss it well. Season it with salt and pepper to taste and then keep it in the refrigerator until it is ready to serve. Preheat an outdoor grill for medium-high heat and lightly oil it. Take out the tilapia from the marinade. Now grill the fillets until the fish is no longer translucent in the center and flakes it easily with a fork. Grill for about 3 to 4 minutes from each side. Now serve it with mango salsa.

Almond Crusted Tilapia Recipe

Tilapia fillets (8), ground almonds (1c), eggs (2), lemon pepper (1tsp), butter (6tbsp), freshly grated parmesan cheese (1c), all-purpose flour for dusting (1/4tsp), lemon wedges (8), sprigs parsley (8), garlic pepper (1tsp).

Method of preparation:-

First, break the eggs in a bowl, beat them with the garlic pepper and lemon pepper until they get blended and then keep it aside. Take a shallow dish, mix together the ground almonds with 1 cup of parmesan cheese in it until get combined and then keep it aside. Dust the flour over the tilapia fillets. Dip the dusted fillets in beaten eggs and then press into the almond mixture. Take a large frying pan, melt butter in it over medium-high heat. Cook the Tilapia in melted butter until it gets golden brown on both sides for about 2 to 3 minutes. Reduce the heat to medium and season the fillets with salt. Sprinkle the remaining parmesan cheese over the tilapia fillets. Cover the pan and keep on cooking until the parmesan cheese gets melted or for about 5 minutes. Now place the Tilapia fillets in a serving dish and garnish it with parsley sprigs and lemon wedges and then serve it.

Blackened Tilapia Recipe

Tilapia fillets (1pound), white bread (4slices), lemon (1), vegetable oil (1tbsp), garlic powder (1 pinch), celery seed (1/2tsp), dried oregano (1tsp), dried thyme (1tsp), cayenne pepper (1tsp), ground black pepper (1tsp), ground white pepper (1tsp)salt (1tbsp) and paprika powder (3tbsp).

Method of preparation:-

Take a jar, add paprika powder, onion powder, black pepper, white pepper, salt, thyme, cayenne pepper, oregano, celery seed and garlic powder in the jar. Shake them until they are blended. Take Tilapia fillets, coat them in the spice blend and keep them for 30 minutes at room temperature. Slice the lemon into wedges. Take a frying pan, heat oil in it. When the oil is so hot it is nearly smoking. Put the tilapia fillets in the hot oil and fry them until the fillets look opaque and can be easily flaked with a fork. It takes about 3 minutes per side. Place the tilapia fillets on slices of bread. Now pour the remaining content of the frying pan over the Tilapia fillets and the bread and then squeeze the lemon juice over the blackened Tilapia from the lemon wedges. Immediately enjoy this tasty blackened Tilapia.

Tilapia with Cilantro Cream Sauce Recipe

Ingredients

Tilapia fillets (1 1/2pounds), finely minced garlic (1clove), thinly sliced green onions (2), heavy cream (1c), lime juice (1tbsp), chopped fresh cilantro (1/4c), olive oil (1tbsp), melted butter (1tbsp), salt and freshly ground pepper (to taste).

Method of preparation:-

Take a small saucepan, heat oil in it over medium heat. Saute onion and garlic for about 1 to 2 minutes. Add cream in it and then keep it to simmer. Simmer it for about 3 to 4 minutes to reduce it slightly. Add cilantro, lime juice, salt, and pepper to taste. Keep it to simmer for about 1 minute longer. Keep it aside or place it in the refrigerator until it is to serve. Heat the oven to 375 degrees. Take a baking pan, line it with foil. Spray it with nonstick cooking spray. Take fillets, brush them lightly with butter and then place them on the baking pan. Sprinkle salt and pepper over the fillets. Place the pan in the preheated oven and then bake the fish for about 20 to 25 minutes or until the Tilapia gets cooked. Take sauce, warm it and then drizzle a little over each fish.
