Fried Fish Taco Recipe

Ingredients

  • Cod fillets
  • Cubed (1 1/2pound)
  • Salt (1/2tsp)
  • All-purpose flour (1c)
  • Dark beer (1c)
  • Lime cut into wedges (10)
  • Salsa (1/4c0)
  • Mayonnaise (1c)
  • Shredded cabbage (5c)
  • Corn tortilla (20)
  • Vegetable oil for frying (1quarter)

Method of preparation:-

Take a shallow bowl, whisk beer, salt and flour in it. Take fish, rinse it and then pat dry it. Cut it into 10 equal pieces. Take a large saucepan, heat oil in it. With a fork, coat the fish pieces in the batter. Place the coated fish into the hot oil. Now adjust the heat to maintain the oil temperature. Fry it for about 2 minutes until it gets golden. Take it out with a slotted spoon and drain it on a paper towel and keep it warm. Stack the two tortillas. Place a piece of fried fish and ½ cup of cabbage in the center of the tortillas. Garnish with mayonnaise, salsa, and lime wedges.

Ingredients

  • Codfish fillets (1 1/2lb)
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)
  • Crushed garlic (3 small cloves)
  • Ground or crushed cilantro (1/2tsp)
  • Ground cumin (1tsp)
  • Fresh lemon juice (1tbsp)
  • Crushed red pepper flakes (3/4tsp)
  • Ground star anise (1tsp) and salt (to taste)

Method Of Preparation:-

Take codfish, first take off its skin and then remove bones from it. Now wash it and use a paper towel to pat dry it. Then cut fish into large pieces and keep it aside in a bowl. Take a bowl; add pepper flakes, star anise, garlic, cilantro, cumin, salt and lemon juice in it. Mix all the ingredients well to make a smooth paste. Then put this paste into the bowl of fish pieces and mix it gently with fish pieces to coat them. Cover the bowl and keep it in the refrigerator to marinate for about 1 hour. Then take out fish from the bowl and keep it on a paper towel to drain some marinade. Take a large frying pan and place it overheat. Add oil in the pan and heat it to 350 degrees. Put a few pieces of fish in hot oil and fry them for about 2 to 3 minutes until the fish changes to a golden brown. Then take out fish pieces from oil and serve them with a green salad or cooked rice.

Cod With Eggs and Golden Fried Potatoes Recipe

Ingredients

  • Salt codfish (1 pound)
  • Eggs (6)
  • Finely chopped onions (3/4c)
  • Potatoes
  • Peeled and cut into lengthwise strips (3 meds. Size)
  • Shortening or vegetable oil (for frying)
  • Olive oil (1/2c)
  • Finely chopped parsley (2tbsp)
  • Freshly ground black pepper (1/2tsp)

Method Of Preparation:-

Take codfish; place it in a glass bowl or a pan of stainless steel. Then add cold water in it to cover the fish and keep it aside for 12 hours to soak. Meanwhile, change the water 3 to 4 times. Heat the oven to 200 degrees. Take a frying pan, heat vegetable oil in it to 375 degrees. Take a shallow baking pan of large size, line it with paper towels. Put potatoes strips in hot oil and deep fry them for about 2 to 4 minutes until they become crispy and get light brown color. Now place the fried potatoes in baking pan and place them in the oven to keep them warm. Now drain cod, wash it under tap water, place it in a pan and then cover it with fresh water. Place the pan over high heat and keep it to boil. Then turn down the heat to low and keep it to simmer uncovered for about 20 minutes until it gets flake easily with a fork. Drain the fish and then remove the skin and bones from it with a knife. Place the fish in the pan, cover it and keep it aside. Take a heavy frying pan, place it over medium heat and then heat ½ cup of olive oil in it. Then add onions in it and cook them for about 5 to 10 minutes by stirring regularly. Add cod in it and cook it by stirring. Take a bowl, beat eggs in it and then mix black pepper in it. Pour the egg mixture into the frying pan and cook it by stirring with a spatula over low heat until the creamy curds formed. Then immediately add potatoes in it and transfer the fish to a warm platter. Sprinkle the chopped parsley over the fish and then serve it hot.

Fried Cod Fingers Recipe

Ingredients

  • Cod fillets
  • Skinned (2lbs)
  • Oil (for frying)
  • Lemon (1)
  • Freshly ground pepper and salt
  • Chervil and chopped parsley (1/4c)
  • Oil (1/4c)


For Batter:-   Flour (1c + 2tbsp), beer (1/2c) and eggs, separated (2).

Method Of Preparation:-

Take an earthenware dish, cut codfish fillets in finger-shaped and place them on the dish. Take a lemon and squeeze it out in a small bowl and then pour lemon juice and oil over the fish. Now dust a little salt, pepper, chervil, and chopped parsley over it. Take a bowl, add flour in it and then put egg yolk with a pinch of salt in it. Mix egg yolk with flour to form the batter and then add beer in it. Make a thick pancake batter and keep it aside. Take a bowl, beat egg whites in it and put into the batter and mix with a spoon to form a light batter. Take a deep frying pan, place it overheat and then heat oil in it for frying. Now drain the cod fingers, dip them in batter and then put them in hot oil to fry. When they get a golden color then drain them on paper towels. Serve the fried cod fingers hot with fried parsley or tartar sauce.

Easy Pan-Fried Swordfish Recipe

  • Swordfish (4 steaks about ¾ inch in thickness)
  • dry vermouth (1/4c)
  • sliced almonds
  • toasted (1/3c)
  • vegetable oil (1tbsp)
  • butter (1tbsp)
  • salt and pepper (to taste)
  • flour (1/3c)

Method Of Preparation:-

Easy Pan-Fried SwordfishTake a large and heavy frying pan, place it over low heat. Then add sliced almonds in the pan and toast them by stirring regularly until they get light brown color. Take out the toasted almonds from the pan and then keep them aside to cool. Take a bowl, mix flour with pepper and salt in it. Take fish, wash it and then shake it to remove the excess water. Now coat the fish with flour mixture. Now turn up the heat to medium under the pan, add oil and butter in the pan and then fry fish in it for about 4 minutes per side until it gets brown color. When the fish gets cooked then takes it out from the pan and places it in a platter. Now add dry vermouth in the same pan, scraping the bits and then put toasted almonds in it. Pour this almond mixture over the fish in the platter and then serve it hot in a platter.
